Project Lifecycle
Follow a project from draft to completed — what happens at each stage.
Draft
A project starts in draft status when you first create it from a spec. In this stage you can edit the scope, choose add-ons, and configure payment details. No developer is assigned yet and no funds are committed.
Matching
Once you're ready to find a developer, the project moves to the matching stage. You can browse QoolPick's developer marketplace, send invitations to specific developers, or invite external developers by email. The project stays in this stage until a developer accepts and is assigned.
In Progress
After a developer is assigned and initial funding is in place, the project moves to in progress. This is where the actual development happens. You'll communicate through the project message thread, track progress through milestones, and review deliverables as they're submitted.
Review
When the developer submits the final deliverable, the project enters review. You review the work, request changes if needed, or approve it. For milestone-based projects, each milestone goes through its own review cycle.
Completed
Once you approve the final deliverable (or all milestones are approved), the project is marked as completed. Escrowed funds are released to the developer, and you can leave a review. The project record and all messages remain accessible in your dashboard.
