Creating a Project
How to turn a spec into a project — choose package, scope type, add-ons, and assign a developer.
From spec to project
Once you have a technical spec, you can create one or more projects from it. Each project represents a specific scope of work. Navigate to your spec and click 'Create Project' to start the scoping process.
Choosing a package
Select a package that matches your project's complexity. Startup MVP ($15K–$25K) covers a lean, launch-ready product with core features. Enterprise MVP ($25K–$45K) includes everything in Startup plus advanced features like enhanced security, analytics, and compliance tooling.
Scope types
Choose the scope type that matches your needs. Fullstack ($15K) covers both frontend and backend development. Backend Only ($7.5K) or Frontend Only ($7.5K) if you have part of the work covered. Design ($5K) for UI/UX work. Add-ons & Custom for specialized requirements with custom pricing.
Add-ons
Add-ons let you include specific features or capabilities beyond the base package. These are priced individually and added to your project total. You can see which add-ons are relevant to your industry based on your spec recommendations.
Developer assignment
Each project is assigned to exactly one developer. You can find developers through QoolPick's marketplace, invite developers you already know, or defer the decision and assign one later. One spec can have multiple projects, and the same developer can work on multiple projects.
