Milestone Proposals
How developers propose milestone changes and how clients approve or reject them.
What are proposals?
Milestone proposals allow developers to suggest changes to the milestone structure after a project has started. This is useful when the scope of work shifts, new requirements emerge, or the developer identifies a better way to break down the deliverables.
Creating a proposal
Developers can propose changes to milestone titles, descriptions, or amounts. The proposal shows a clear comparison between the current milestones and the proposed changes. The total project price must remain the same — proposals redistribute work and amounts across milestones, not change the overall budget.
Reviewing proposals
When a developer submits a proposal, the client receives a notification. You can review the proposed changes side by side with the current milestones. Accept the proposal to update the milestones, or reject it with feedback explaining why.
